Awesome! What's the tooth fairy's inflation adjusted rate these days?

Nathan had his first tooth out on the operating table before his surgery in August. Apparently when the tooth fairy is a surgeon (we asked for the tooth back and got it and a tooth fairy contribution in a biohazard bag) he throws in a silver dollar.

The tooth fairy didn't come last night. Margot wanted to hold on to the tooth for at least another day. Many of her friends have received dollar coins from the tooth fairy, and I'm betting that is what she will bring Margot as well.

Can one still get silver dollars? I know they were available when we were kids, but I thought they had been discontinued. My dad got me a stack of silver dollars from my birth year every birthday (3 on third, 4 on fourth, etc.)

I can't believe how hard-core the tooth fairy is at your house! :) I got to keep all my teeth and get paid for them. I still have them actually... They are in a box with my wisdom teeth I had pulled, the mold of my teeth from when I got my braces and my xray from when I broke my jaw and had it wired shut. Hmmmm.... Reading this I realize now that I have kept some really strange things...
